moe. - 1-25-07 - Fox Theatre

Didn’t love this show, didn’t hate it. Like most moe. shows, it had it’s moments (Kyle’s Song, Moth) but couldn’t deliver for the full show. Jennie and I ended up leaving early after “The Pit” and missed what most people thought was the best part of the show - the “Rec Chem” to the end of the second set. So be it…

Some random thoughts:

  • The Fox was way oversold, again. Luckily we got in early and shared a great spot right on the side of the stage with a fun group of people (Benny, CT, the Josh’s, and a bunch more characters…).
  • No AC for most of the show = uncomfortably hot. Not fun.
  • Strobe lights are amazing - every band should use them, a lot.
  • Chuck Garvey owns this band. He’s the only one of the front three that looks like he is giving it 100% all of the time.
